DESCRIPTION
The aquarium is ay the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier, so it gets constant salt spray and moisture in the air. Most wood construction rots quickly and needs to be replaced, which is why they wanted to build cabinets, countertops and shelves out of Trespa.

RevealShield IT® Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Membrane
Trespa Meteon Façade & Fence Panel

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

For their 17,000 sq. ft. project, the Pico Rivera Library chose to use RevealShield IT, and cover it with 3/8" Trespa Meteon Façade Panels. The panels were a standard 60" x 30" and were laid across the same plane, except for some sections with a 6" inset due to a second skin on the outer wall. This inset was used as a chase for electrical and plumbing. Tespa Fence panels measuring 15" wide x 60" high were also used in six different colors to create a colorful, creative fence with 16 different cutout patterns.

WallShield® Green and Black Weather Resistant Barrier
Trespa Meteon Facade System in Anthracite Grey & Mystic Green

DESCRIPTION

This high end residential project, developed by Matt Stevens of Stevens Development, used over 3,200 sq. ft. of WallShield behind the Trespa panels and behind the stucco.

Stevens chose VaproShield WallShield because preventing mold and mildew was a priority since the residence is right on the ocean in Pacific Beach.  The salt spray and high moisture content (especially at night) have no adverse effect on either the Trespa Meteon panels or VaproShield breathable membranes.

WRAPSHIELD® Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Membrane
WRAPSHIELD HS® Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Membrane with Drainage Matrix

DESCRIPTION

Over 4,300 sq. ft. of WrapShield® Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Membrane was installed under Trespa panels, and over 3,500 sq. ft. of WrapShield HS® Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Membrane was installed under stucco on the East Rancho Dominguez Library.

The architects wanted a rain screen system that would offer great curb appeal for the neighborhood but also had to be very durable and long-lasting. They specifically chose VaproShield because they passed all of the required fire codes with the Trespa system and membrane had a 20 year warranty. The VaproShield system was also the best on the market for preventing mold and mildew.
